Outstallation 2022

There are many things that can be said, and should be said, at our annual Outstallation gatherings. Obviously, the biggest one is the huge thank you to Ron Whitmer for his service as President for the Rotary 2021-2022 year. We are so grateful for Ron stepping up on short notice and seeing us through another productive year of serving our communities.

(Make sure you read this whole thing to the bottom where the pictures are!)

Member Jack Evans did a very entertaining job of presenting all of the "wow" that our scholarship award winners are bringing into the world. The students then shared some thoughts about the future with us. We heard quite a few mentions of community service in their future!

Our annual Outstallation was also highlighted by a visit from Rotary District Governor, David Jones. David presented our outgoing and incoming leaders. He welcomed in our newest member, Tammy Genovese.

Randy Rininger gave everyone a brief on how the Rotary Foundation works and how our club tries to use it to better our communities.

Ron Whitmer presented the award for Rotarian of the Year to a very deserving Tracy Sayers. Ron did a great job keeping his choice under wraps and the look on her face when her name was announced was awesome! THANK YOU TRACY!

The President's gavel was officially passed from Ron Whitmer to Fred Carter.

We thanked Jeremy Caudill for his ongoing support of our club and making Melanie Lake the home of several successful Port-Summit Rotary events over the last several years.

National recording artist, JD Eicher, capped off our evening by entertaining us with music and humor.  (JD's website.)

Food for the evening was prepared by member Suzy Jaber, owner of the Event Center in Ellet. If you'd like to see more of us, we're there almost every Thursday at noon.

What's an outstallation?
